TORCHBEARER To Begin Recording New Album This Weekend

April 26, 2005

Swedish death/black metal band TORCHBEARER will enter Panic-Room studios in Skövde, Sweden on April 30 to begin recording their sophomore album, entitled "Warnaments". The follow-up to last year's "Yersinia Pestis" will be recorded and mastered by Thomas Johansson and will feature a guest appearance by Per Nilsson (SCAR SYMMETRY) on lead guitar and synthesizers. Pär Johansson will once again create the artwork for the CD, which is expected later in the year via Cold/Regain Records.

In other news, TORCHBEARER have announced that they have parted ways with guitarist Göran Johansson. "[Göran's] departure is due to reasons we will not explain here," the band write in a statement. "We can, however, assure you that we separate as really good friends. We wish him all the best with SETHERIAL and his future music career."
